Three Homes Destroyed in Coalinga Fire; Community Rallies to Help
On October 9, 2024, a significant fire broke out in Coalinga, California, affecting three homes near Coolidge and Hayes Streets. The fire, which started around 11:30 AM, initially engulfed one home and quickly spread to two neighboring structures, turning into a 3-alarm blaze that required the assistance of multiple fire departments, including Coalinga Fire, Fresno County Fire, Kings County Fire, and North Central Fire. Firefighters worked diligently to contain the flames, which took approximately 15 minutes to spread to the additional homes.
